BIO-Daniel Criado 

 

Daniel Criado is an award-winning musician, composer, and educator who has performed internationally across the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, and is endorsed by the renowned percussion brands Bosphorus Cymbals, and CANOPUS Drums. 

 

Mr. Criado has collaborated with notable Grammy Award-winning musicians including Corey Glover, Joe Ferry, David DeJesus, Brandon Lee, Manuel Valera, the Birdland Big Band, Pete Malinverni, the legendary drummer Leon Parker, and has acquired highly-sought after positions in prominent venues including Birdland Jazz Club, one of the most prominent jazz clubs in the world, as well as at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Side Door, Cleopatra’s Needle, Bonafide Club, White Plains JAZZFEST, among many others. 

 

Mr. Criado's music has been featured at distinguished radio stations such as WBGO Jazz in New Jersey, Universo 94.9 radio Colima in Mexico, and La U Radio in Colombia, to name a few. As a result, Mr. Criado has received significant recognition from important newspapers like Westchester Hispano, Westmore News, El Sol, El Tiempo, Vanguardia, and magazines like AllAboutJazz.com and TheJazzCorner.com. Additionally, Daniel has been awarded by the important Asakusa Jazz Contest in the category of "Best Jazz Ensemble" in Tokyo, Japan 2018. 

Daniel graduated as Summa Cum Laude in music Pedagogy from UIS University, he is also recipient of the COLFUTURO scholarship and holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from the SUNY Conservatory of Music at Purchase College, where he recieved the "Outstanding Graduate Award".
